Have
you ever wondered why I am called LadyBug? Did you know that
ladybugs are good luck because they are the nannies to the fairies?
So if you see one there is sure to be a fairy colony nearby. Fairies
don't get pregnant and carry babies like human moms do. Fairies lay
eggs. They are such fanciful creatures that they lay the eggs and go
off into the woods to dance on dew drops. The ladybugs gather the eggs,
hatch them, and teach the baby fairies how to fly. This is an important
roll for the ladybug! There is a poem that
goes, Ladybug, Ladybug fly away home, your house is on fire and your
children will burn. That poem is about the baby fairies who cannot fly
yet. On this page you will see one of the babies with her training wings.
